Hi Guys,
So, trying to get Red5 Plugin working. I have Red5 Server .7 already installed on server and bound to a second IP address on the server, but it's shut down at the moment. Got the plugin installed into Openfire, but when I go to myserver:9090/red5/index.html I get
SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
RequestURI=/red5/index.html
I know there are some with similar problems...has anyone been able to solve this one? Or are there any insights as to a possible solution?
Thanks.
Hello all-
I have red5 working I think, but the problem I am getting is that neither the caller or the person recieving the call can see each other. The popup comes up with 2 boxes. One box has the person making the call, this seems to be fine, but the other box that is suppossed to have the person at the other end never populates with video.
Is there a setting I am missing?
Thanks,
My setup of Windows 2003 based Openfire 3.6.4 has the server name as openfire.domain.com, while users are setup as jid@domain.com. In the config it is defined as:
xmpp.domain = domain.com
xmpp.fqdn= openfire.domain.com
I installed Red5 plugin in OF, and the red5-plugin.jar in Spark. Unfortunetely the Spark plugin inists on using http://domain.com/<httpbindport>/.... and not http://openfire.domain.com/<httpbindport>/.... so the interface fails. I looked at the red5-plugin.jar properties but could not figure out where to implement the correct path. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
I have managed to cluster 2 servers and have installed red5 plugin on both servers to enable the audio/video chat. And I have encounter a problem, please refer the scenario below:
Scenario:
User A connect to server 1 and User B connect to server 2. User A initiate a video call to User B and User B accept the call, but, on both side, there is no video and audio.
But, if both the user connect to the same server, the video call works fine. So, I'm kinda lost here on why the Red5 plugin does not work when 2 user connect to 2 different server ...
Is there any configuration on Red5 that I have to configure?
Btw, the clustering is done by using the clustering plugin with coherence 3.3.1.
Appreciate the helps.
hello all!
I am building my own chat server using openfire. It it istalled on centos 6 x386 and runs great. I have 3 windows pc's using spark as a client and can private chat (like skype) and in rooms.
I need to add voice and video. I saw in the forums to DL red5.war and install in /plugins folder. It does not show in the admin plugins page. Comments say to get the "new" one, but all the links i can find go to broken links.
Can someone provide a link for the red5.war file that will work on openfire 3.7.1?
I really need to replace skype, and openfire seemed like the best choice. I just cannot find the files to add in audio and video.
Thanks

Ignite realtime communiity is happy to release the Redfire Spark plugin version 0.9
Start a normal chat or group chat
Share audio/video in chat or group chat (12 people max) by clicking on the red5 icon
Share all or part or your desktop screen in a chat or chat room by clicking on the picture icon next to the red5 icon
The other user(s) will receive a request to join audio/video or screenshare
Use the accept or decline buttons to accept or reject request. The red5 video and screen share buttons will be disabled until a choice is made.
Look for the file redfire-plugin.jar attached to this post.
I copied the red5.war file in openfie/plugins directory and restarted the openfire server. When i enter http://<ip add>:7070/redfire it gives me error 404: Problem accessing /redfire. Reason: Not Found.

On the offchance someone might know what's going on here...
Installed and happilly running Red5 Sparkweb, however, on OpenSolaris and Linux 10.04 machines running Firefox 3.6.x, the Flash player "Settings..." option is greyed out specifically on the Sparkweb login and user interface screens, such that one cannot configure a camera and settings etc. See the attached for an example.
I'm running Flash player 10.1.53.64 on the machines concerned, and if I go to another (in fact any other) Flash-enabled site, that option is indeed visible. I can also get to the Flash Global Settings site, but changes made there have no effect on the correct functioning of my local Sparkweb page. This leads me to believe it's not a problem with the Flash player per se.
Bizarrely, I can launch the Red5 test page and view camera streams as well as twiddle Flash player settings there just fine.
Any ideas, anyone?
After some feedback and a bit more development, I am happy to release version 0.0.0.4 for community beta testing. The changes were mostly to support the Redfire plugin for Spark which is planned to be included in the official Spark 2.6.1 release. You WILL NEED the latest Flash Player 10.3
So what is new for Redfire plugin for Spark?
To ensure there is a route, you need a way for the clients to discover each other. There are 3 methods:
The default is to use the public p2p.rtmfp.net service. To change this, edit redfire_2way.html and redfire_video.html. Replace this line
var rtmfpUrl = getPageParameter('rtmfpUrl', 'rtmfp://p2p.rtmfp.net/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-zzzzzzzzzzzzz/');
If you have your own RTMFP server like FMS 4.x, use "rtmfp://my_rtmfp_server/"
If you want to use pure IP multicast on your own private subnet, use "rtmfp:"
If you want to force RTMP always with no peer-to-peer, use "localhost"
Finally, to upgrade your existing Redfire plugin for Spark,
Where can I download the plugin
For Openfire 3.6.4 and below http://redfire.googlecode.com/files/redfire-364-0.0.04.zip
For Openfire 3.7.0 and above http://redfire.googlecode.com/files/redfire-370-0.0.04.zip
I have been wondering if maybe my sip account is not compatible with red5phone, so here you go. I am putting up my sip account so anyone who has a working red5 standalone / openfire + red5plugin install to test if its working for them.
Please be kind enough to privde me with your feedback.
UID : 777010465728

Thanx in advance.
